Struck by the beauty of the setting, engineer Chris Serra decided to create a design that captured the pristine nature of the site while minimizing the experience of neighboring development. The main challenge is how to achieve a balance between this idea with the reality of building a house for the families of 2 contain 5 bedrooms on the CD. Choice of materials and detail of the structure of the building based on the strength also of great importance because of the nature of the subject site. The materials include Western red cedar channel siding more than one system rainscreen, Cembonit slabs of cement during the rainscreen, Tigerwood decking, railings galvanized, metal roofing and standing seam.
